We’ve been celebrating talent as the Sutton Coldfield community praises it’s local sports heroes
There’s nothing more satisfying than being witness to the appreciation of some truly gifted individuals. In its 10th year, the Sutton Coldfield Sports Awards is an annual event that celebrates the very best sporting individuals, teams, clubs, coaches and volunteers in the West Midlands based town. Nominations opened in October 2019 which saw an amazing response as the public put forward talented people in great numbers.
There were many worthy winners on the night with 15 awards up for grabs. Agency owners Sarah Hackett and Chris Robinson were proud to sponsor the ‘Club of the Year’ award, a highly recognised award which celebrates the efforts of the most inspirational sports club in the district. Nominated for the award was Sutton Coldfield TKD, Sutton Coldfield Town Football Club and Walmley Sports and Cricket Club. All three nominees experienced significant success and achievement throughout 2020, showing a heartfelt commitment to developing their club’s activities for the good of the community. The winners were Walmley Sports and Cricket Club.
In addition to sponsoring the award, the design team at Brand Jam were involved with the design and production of the awards logo, programme, and podium signage.
We had a brilliant evening and particularly enjoyed being in a packed room full of many enthusiastic sports stars of all ages and abilities. It was certainly motivating to see the dedication and conviction every one had whether they were an athlete, supporter, fan, volunteer or coach. As community sponsors, we were privileged to be asked to play our part in shining a light on all the positivity sport can bring to a local community.
