Penny Wyldbore, Branding

Description

Penny is a talented lady who designs and creates bespoke pieces of jewellery using a varied array of crystals, stones and glass which is then carefully coiled in enamelled copper wire.

Penny had a logo and a business name of Angelwerx already in place. However, it didn’t feel quite right and she asked us to help create a brand that truly reflected her personality and unique jewellery.

The solution

After conducting our research, we advised our client to change her existing business name to her own name. This allowed the brand to feel more personable whilst providing an opportunity to create a brand story centered around her individualised method of making customised jewellery.

The typeface is based on an arts and crafts pattern dating back to 1909. It gracefully and seamlessly combines medieval inspiration with traditional arts and crafts styling. The fonts handcrafted approach and attention to detail perfectly reflects and complements the style of Penny’s jewellery.

The flourish in-between the name and the tagline help to separate the two elements whilst echoing the intricate style of the jewellery. The complete logo has the right balance of impact when used on marketing collateral without distracting from the design of the jewellery.

The use of turquoise gives the brand a contemporary and luxurious feel. The colour also reflects back to the use of copper within her pieces.
