Let’s Do Business Guest Speaker

This years guest speaker is Rachel Elnaugh, the famous entrepreneur behind ‘Red Letter Days’. At 11.15am – 12pm, she’ll be delivering a keynote speech detailing the highs of setting up her business and lows of seeing it put into administration by Barclays Bank on 1st August 2005 due to overambitious expansion plans. Now back in profit, Rachel will candidly talks about how this adversity has lead to new business opportunities and insights. Plus find out more about her book ‘Business Nightmares’ which describes the fine line between success and failure. A popular, must have book among many business owners.

9.30am – 10.30am: Speed Networking

This is a fast and furious networking session. Make sure you have a 30 second elevator pitch ready if you’d like to take part. Register as soon as you arrive as this event fills up fast. Have a glass of water on hand when for when it’s over. You’ll definitely need it.

10am – 3.30pm:  Export Hub

Meet your local department for International Trade Team (DIT) to speak with Export advisors who are specifically there to support businesses with their export journeys. They’ll talk you through what you need to know whatever your business size, sector and market.

10am – 4pm: Growth Hub Business Support Clinics

These very useful clinics are on hand to support any business; new starts and established. Support is there if you are trying to grow, want to access funding, need help recruiting, need help understanding red tape and much more.

2.15pm – 3.15pm: Funding and Finance Seminar Hour

Find out what Grand funding and finance is available for your business. The Growth Funding Advisors will be on hand to help you find out what you May be eligible for. With over £25m Government funding released on 1st April 2019, there is likely to be an opportunity for your business to access some funds. Go along to the seminar to find out.

BY ROAD

Situated just off the A50 between Burton upon Trent and Stoke on Trent the racecourse is clearly signposted from the A50, A515, A518 and Uttoxeter Town Centre.

From the North West

M6 to Junction 15, then follow signs for A50 Uttoxeter/Derby

From the North East

M1 to Junction 24a, straight on to the A50 following signs for Uttoxeter/Derby.

From the South and South West

From M5(J4a) or M40 (J3a), join the M42 (J7).
Exit M42 at Junction 9 (Lichfield) follow signs for Lichfield and A38 (Burton/Derby).
Exit A38 at A50 (Uttoxeter/Stoke).
Alternatively; From M5 (J8) or M42 (J7), join M6 (North).
Exit at Junction 14 and take A513 to Stafford, then A518 (Uttoxeter).

From the South East

M1 To Junction 23a, the A50 (Uttoxeter/Stoke).
Once in Uttoxeter follow the brown signs to Wood Lane and take the second turning on the left signed to Main Entrance and Conference Centre.

BY RAIL

Uttoxeter Railway station is adjacent to the Racecourse. Most Intercity services run trains to Derby and Stoke on Trent which in turn runs regular connecting trains to Uttoxeter. A direct service also operates from Crewe.
